For Parents
You can help your child create the best video possible by keeping these tips in mind:
- Questions can be recorded using a video camera, web cam, cell phone or digital camera.
- The videos should be short and to the point. No longer than a minute.
- A thoughtful question works best. Ask your child to think about what he or she would like to see changed in our state to improve the future of kids and families.
- Encourage your child to speak clearly.
- Test the video. Play it back before uploading to ensure the audio level is high enough and that you can clearly understand child and see her or him.
- Encourage your child not say anything offensive, do anything offensive or wear anything offensive. These videos may be disqualified.
